- Assistant Surgeon: 2553
Educational Qualifications:
- 1. Applicants for the General Assistant Surgeon positions must hold an MBBS degree. As defined by the Madras Medical Registration Act of 1914, candidates must be registered practitioners.
- 2. Applicants must have worked for a minimum of twelve months as a House Surgeon (CRRI).
- 3. As of the deadline for this notification, candidates must have registered their names with the Tamil Nadu Medical Council.
Age Criteria:
- The maximum age restriction is 37 years for general people and 59 years for SCs, SC(A)s, STs, MBC&DNCs, BCs, and BCMs.
- The age restriction for applicants with disabilities is 47 years old, while the age limit for former military members who fall under the “Others” category is 50 years old.
Application Fee:
For other applicants, there is an application fee of Rs 1000. The application cost is Rs 500 for candidates who are SC, SCA, ST, or DAP (PH).
Salary:
The government will pay selected candidates a monthly compensation in accordance with regulations.
Selection Procedure:
There are two parts to the selection process at TN Medical Services: the Tamil Language Eligibility Test and the Computer Based Test (CBT) for the position of Assistant Surgeon (General). Candidates need to be aware that their performance in the CBT will be taken into account when creating the final selection list.
